    • Paul P.       The NCA also named its 2011 Contractor of the Year winners. The awards recognize excellence, safety, leadership, professionalism and innovation in construction. The winners: Aggregate Industries-SWC, contractor of the year; Stewart & Sundell Concrete, subcontractor of the year; Wells Cargo Construction, safest contractor of the year; the $41.5 million Boulder Highway Rapid Transit Line by Las Vegas Paving Corp., heavy highway/civil project of the year; and, the $121.7 million Terminal 3 Parking Garage at McCarran International Airport by McCarthy Building Cos., building project of the year. Other awards went to Werdco B.C., supplier of the year; Thomas Petroleum, associate of the year; and Las Vegas Paving’s Rick Ewing, recruiter of the year.

    • Attorney Kimberly P. Stein has joined Howard & Howard Attorneys PLLC., where she will focus on securities law, gaming law, intellectual property, civil litigation, corporate law/business formation and real estate law. Stein previously served as chief of enforcement for the Nevada Secretary of State’s Securities Division.

    • Jesse Scott

      Jesse Scott is an assistant account executive at MassMedia Corporate Communications, a public relations, advertising and marketing firm. He previously was the grassroots marketing coordinator for Verizon FiOS in Northern Virginia.

    • Eleissa C. Lavelle is an arbitrator and dispute mediator specializing in business/commercial, construction and real estate for JAMS, a provider of mediation and arbitration services. She previously was a partner at Duane Morris.

    • Myron Jones

      Myron Jones, safety director at ManagedPAY, a locally owned human resource, payroll, employee benefits, workers compensation and insurance services company, has earned his Property and Casualty License.

    • Trump International Hotel Las Vegas was among three Trump properties voted No. 1 in their respective cities by readers of Travel + Leisure, for the magazine’s World’s Best Business Hotels 2011 list. Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago and Trump SoHo New York also were ranked first. Readers rated hotels as part of the magazine’s annual World’s Best Awards readers’ survey, which is featured in the December issue.

    • Susan Bauman, vice president of marketing for Western Risk Insurance, has been inducted into the Nevada State Apartment Association Hall of Fame. She received the honor at the annual Jewel Awards Ceremony in December.

      Chad Fears, Swen Prior and Jay Schuttert are partners at Snell & Wilmer. Fears’ practice is concentrated in commercial and complex civil litigation.       The Dr. Miriam & Sheldon G. Adelson Educational Campus’ Board of Trustees has renewed the contract of Paul Schiffman, head of school’s contract, for five years. He has been serving Adelson Educational Campus since 2006 and under his direction the campus has grown from 158 students to 500 students.

    • Lindsay Terrett

      Lindsay Terrett is eligibility/outreach coordinator for Foundation for Positively Kids. She will work with civic organizations, daycares, surrounding schools and the community at large, raising awareness for Positively Kids and the programs it offers to medically fragile and special needs clients.
