Marketing agency sues Las Vegas Mob Experience

Lawsuit No. 13 has been filed over bills that allegedly went unpaid at the Las Vegas Mob Experience at the Tropicana Resort.

Brain Trust Marketing & Communications filed suit Tuesday against Murder Inc. — the Mob Experience's parent company, which filed for bankruptcy Monday — and against other defendants.

The Murder Inc. portion of suit will likely be put on hold, as are all lawsuits against bankrupt entities. Plaintiffs have the option of petitioning the bankruptcy court to continue prosecuting such suits.

In its suit, Brain Trust claims it’s owed $38,517 for work at the attraction, including conducting media training for select Mob Experience spokespeople, developing "message points for media consumption," planning and coordinating press events and assisting in the grand opening events this spring.

The Mob Experience has not yet responded to the lawsuit, but in its bankruptcy filing it listed scores of similar creditors who have gone unpaid amid disappointing attendance and other problems at The Experience.

Also named as defendants in the suit are Mob Experience developer Jay Bloom, who has left the operation, and two of his companies — Eagle Group Holdings LLC and Order 66 Entertainment.

The suit says Brain Trust is owed another $25,000 for work on Bloom’s "Star Wars Experience" concept.

A message for comment was placed with Bloom.

The 13 lawsuits filed the past few years over allegedly unpaid bills at the Mob Experience have been filed by contractors, vendors, investors and a mob family member against various defendants, though not all defendants are named in each suit.
