Dutch air carrier ArkeFly will begin seasonal nonstop air service between Amsterdam and three western U.S. cities, including Las Vegas, next summer.

The leisure carrier, a division of Dutch tour operator TUI Nederland, which is part of Europe’s largest travel conglomerate, TUI Travel, will fly twice a week between Amsterdam’s Schiphol International Airport and Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Oakland, Calif.

Flights will operate Sundays and Thursdays from June 7 through Oct. 18, starting in 2012.

ArkeFly will operate the routes with twin-engine Boeing 767 wide-bodied jets configured in three classes with 283 seats.

The airline is marketing the route as part of its U.S. West Coast expansion with trips to the San Francisco Bay area as the centerpiece. Las Vegas and Los Angeles will be a part of the three-city rotation that will encourage Dutch travelers to visit all three destinations.
