The Las Vegas martini bar industry took a hit Tuesday — even before Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman has left office.
Vegas Martini Group LLC, operator of Straight Up Martini Bar, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Nevada.
The business, at 4970 S. Fort Apache Road, near Tropicana Avenue, has Clark County restaurant, liquor and gaming licenses.
The company in its initial filing didn’t provide detailed financial information, but said it has assets and liabilities each ranging from $500,000 to $1 million.
It was coincidentally announced Tuesday that Goodman, whose term is expiring, is having his last Martinis with the Mayor event with his showgirls from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at competing martini bar The Martini, 1205 S. Fort Apache Road.
