Herbst Gaming LLC of Las Vegas today said it has changed its name to Affinity Gaming LLC.
Herbst Gaming LLC was the lender-led company created to take over the assets of bankrupt Herbst Gaming Inc. It completed the takeover late last year.
“In order to reflect our new corporate identity, we have changed our corporate name to Affinity Gaming. Given that prior management and owners, the Herbst family, are no longer associated with our casino and slot route businesses, we believe it is in the interest of the employees and management to make a fresh start,” CEO David Ross said in a statement.
The company will continue to operate each of its casino properties under their existing names and, where applicable, the “Terrible’s” moniker.
Affinity Gaming has 15 casinos, including 12 in Nevada, two in Missouri and one in Iowa. It was in the news most recently when it announced plans to provide consulting services to the Rampart Casino in Summerlin.

Other than the Wild WILD WEST and Sam's town, is their any cowboy hat places left? The Eureka? Where will cowboy hat people go now (like the guy from the brand x newspaper, if he still has a job.)
Most places still cater to the sombrero.
