In the early aughts, nightlife impresario Ivan Kane launched Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce at Mandalay Bay, introducing Vegas visitors to a different type of nightclub experience—live music and burlesque. While the club landscape has changed over the years, with behemoth party palaces being built and multimillion-dollar DJ residencies, Kane takes it back to the old school by relaunching his club at the same property.

“The spirit is the same—immersive, sexy, theatrical—but the experience is bigger, more dynamic and more refined,” Kane said in a recent release. “The technology, the staging, the live music integration and the level of performance have all evolved. This is Forty Deuce reimagined for today’s audience, where every detail works together to create a true experience, not just a night out.”

The intimate space offers posh surroundings of animal prints, cushy seating, several stages for the dancers, live bands and DJs, bar area and high-tech lighting and LED screens that move to the music. The decor is meant to immerse partiers in a world that’s sexy and fun. As the evening unfolds, burlesque numbers will take over the whole space while live bands soundtrack each number. In between, guests can get their own groove on to live DJ sets. “Burlesque here isn’t about a single performance on a stage—it’s a full theatrical experience happening all around you,” Kane said. “The dancers are athletes and artists. The choreography, costumes, music and storytelling all work together. It’s immersive, it’s emotional and it’s designed to make you feel part of the show. …

“This isn’t a stand-around, wait-for-the-mic-drop kind of place. It’s live performance, cinematic visuals, human connection and raw energy—all fused into one. We don’t fit cleanly into a box, and we don’t want to. Forty Deuce must be experienced. Whether you come for the DJs, the dancefloor or the burlesque, what you leave with is the realization that you’ve just been part of something uniquely special.”

If you didn’t have the chance to party at Ivan Kane’s Forty Deuce the first time, now’s your chance to experience what made the nightclub such a smashing success.
