AFA showroom comes to Fashion Show Mall, Pot Liquor opens in Town Square

The Animazing Fine Art group is opening a new showroom in the Fashion Show Mall.

The showroom will feature original paintings, sculptures and limited edition prints by established artists in France, New Orleans and New York.

      The gallery will also feature a new collection of Mackenzie Thorpe bronzes.

      The exhibition is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

      It is located on the mall's first floor, next to the Microsoft store.

    • Wahlburgers announces plans for Las Vegas location

      Wahlburgers, the Boston burger franchise owned by celebrity brothers Mark, Donnie and Paul Wahlberg, is coming to Las Vegas.

      The company announced last week that it will open its first restaurant in the valley in early 2015. It plans to open two more within the next five years.

      Desert Radiologists opened a new imaging facility Sept. 16.

      The center offers a variety of screening procedures, including ultrasounds, MRIs and CT scans.

      Desert Radiologists opened in 1966, and has six offices in the Las Vegas Valley.

      Their newest location is located at 31 N. Nellis Blvd., inside the Charleston Commons shopping center.

      Pot Liquor opens in Town Square

      Doug Bell and Flip Arbelaez opened the southern barbecue joint Sept. 11.

      Pot Liquor's menu includes unique dishes like pigs' feet with pork stuffing and grilled prawns with Boudin Noir, a Texas-style sliced beef brisket.

      The drink menu features seasonal cocktails, beer, sweet tea and lemonade.

      The 6,662 square foot restaurant is open 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Wednesday and 11-2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
