Bryan Gragg and David Gutke are associates at the law firm of Snell and Wilmer. Gragg practices in construction litigation and complex commercial litigation. Shana Tucker was promoted to vice president of marketing and Kenji Hall to vice president of operations at Primm Valley Casino Resorts. Tucker has been with Primm Valley for more than nine years. Hall had served as vice president of hotel operations there since 2011.

Kathleen Smith is vice president and relationship manager of City National Bank’s Green Valley branch. She is a native Las Vegan who has 20 years of experience in the banking industry.

Yasnai Rodriguez is an administrative assistant at Nevada Health Care Association.

Valley Electric Association, an electric cooperative headquartered in Pahrump, hired five new staff members: John Perra, manager of operations; Joe Fieldsted, safety, health, environmental and efficiency manager; Chris Brooks, executive vice president of energy services; Anu Bhagat, controller; and Josh Driggs, accounts payable accountant. Previously, Perra was northwest region manager for NV Energy in Carson City, Fieldsted served in a variety of positions at Moon Lake (Utah) Electric Association, Brooks was director of Bombard Renewable Energy in Las Vegas, Bhagat was manager of accounting and finance at Central Virginia Electric Cooperative and Driggs was an accountant for Goldcorp.

Charles Burt was promoted to manager of the Las Vegas branch of Les Olson Co. He previously was branch sales manager and has been with the company since 2006.

Bill Curran, managing partner of Ballard Spahr’s Las Vegas office, received the Presidential Award by the State Bar of Nevada.

Sherry Lasky, a third-grade teacher at the Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Educational Campus, marked 25 years as an educator. Lasky received a trip to Israel and a scrapbook filled with photos and notes from former students and colleagues.

Heather Black Darby is a physical therapist at Matt Smith Physical Therapy. She has more than 14 years of experience and previously was the staff physical therapist for Bodies in Motion Physical Therapy in Falls Church, Va. Darby will work at the clinic at 727 N. Nellis Blvd., Las Vegas.

Kevin Karo, an assurance partner at BDO USA, was appointed to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Gaming Task Force on Revenue Recognition. He has more than 23 years of experience providing accounting, SEC reporting and internal audit services. Bill Powell, also an assurance partner, was appointed to the insitute’s Timeshares Task Force on Revenue Recognition. He has more than 25 years of experience providing accounting and auditing services to middle-market, international, and privately and publicly held companies.

Contractor Mark De Vries has opened Advanced Home Solutions, which specializes in home renovations, remodels and repairs, in northwest Las Vegas.

Dr. Brian Lawenda, a board-certified radiation oncologist at 21st Century Oncology of Las Vegas, was appointed a clinical professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.

Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican home health nurse Bonnie Schmidt is a finalist for the National Association for Home Health and Hospice’s “Home Care and Hospice Nurse of the Year” award.

Local McDonald’s franchise owner Tim Thomas opened his 10th store locally at Cheyenne Avenue and Durango Drive. The store created 55 jobs.
