      Lerch Bates, a consulting firm for vertical transportation, facade access and materials management, opened an office in Las Vegas and hired Ken Dietz as project manager for the region. Dietz has worked as a vertical transportation project manager at City Center, McCarran International Airport’s Terminal 3 and the Linq. Lerch Bates has 32 offices internationally.

      Niesha Dunlap is a financial services representative at the Clark County Credit Union, handling consumer loan counseling, new accounts, extended repair coverage and debt cancellation coverage.

    • Matthew Hoffmann is a partner at Atkinson & Watkins. He focuses on plaintiff’s personal injury law in the firm’s personal injury practice, marketed as Battle Born Injury Lawyers. He previously worked as a partner at Arin & Associates.

      Michael Lum is an associate attorney at the law office of Jeffrey Burr. His background is in finance and taxation, and he represents clients in tax, business and estate planning matters. Lum previously worked as an assistant vice president at the Bank of Nevada.

    • Gerald Koslow will leave Gaming Partners International Corp., a casino currency and table gaming equipment provider, as chief financial officer and treasurer at the end of the month.

      Henderson International School, a private school for preschool through eighth-grade students, hired John Heffron as lower school principal and Christopher Bezsylko as middle school principal. Heffron oversees faculty, enrollment and curriculum for kindergarten through fourth grade, Bezsylko for fifth through eighth grade.

      Andrea Bennett is editor in chief of Niche Media’s Vegas magazine. She has more than 15 years of experience at luxury publications, including Travel & Leisure, Town & Country, Departures, and T: The New York Times Style Magazine. She also wrote a column for the Wall Street Journal.

    • Dr. Michael Crovetti Jr., founder of the Outpatient Surgical Recovery Suites in Henderson, has performed more than 500 outpatient hip and knee replacements, making him the national leader. Crovetti has practiced locally since 2000.

    • Marci Bylund is public relations and social media manager at Vox Solid Communications, a public relations and marketing agency. She has 16 years of experience in communications.

    • Mike Dreitzer left BMM Testlabs, a gaming testing laboratory, as chief operating officer and joined Ainsworth Game Technology Limited as president.

    • The Greater Las Vegas Association of Realtors elected new board members and officers: president Heidi Kasama, Prudential Americana Group; president-elect Noah Herrera, Platinum Real Estate Professionals; vice president Keith Lynam, Windermere Prestige Properties; and treasurer Christopher Bishop, Coldwell Banker Premier. All will take office Jan. 1. Current president Dave Tina, of Urban Nest Realty, will serve as immediate past president. Other directors elected include: Tina Africk, iProperties International; Thomas Blanchard, 1st Realty Group; Kathryn Bovard, Realty One Group; David Brownell, Keller Williams Realty Southwest; David Tina, son of president Dave Tina, also of Urban Nest Realty; and Julie Youngblood, Keller Williams Realty Southwest. Local agents not up for re-election who will continue serving as directors include: Janet Carpenter, Realty ONE Group; Vandana Chima, Exit Realty Platinum Group; Mary Greenspan, Greenspan Brokerage; and Krystal Sherry, Hudson Real Estate. Leroy “Buck” Schaeffel, of Bowler Realty, will continue serving as director for Mesquite and other outlying areas of the county. Hayim Mizrachi, of the MDL Group, will be 2014 president of GLVAR’s Commercial Alliance Las Vegas. Norma Jean Opatik, of Realty Executives in Action, will chair GLVAR’s 2014 MLS committee and serve on the board.

    • Tom Hethmon, associate professor of mining engineering at the University of Utah, joined the advisory board of the National Association of Heavy Equipment Training Services headquartered in Las Vegas.

    • Melanie Munsell was hired at Valley Cheese and Wine, 1570 W. Horizon Ridge Pkwy., Suite 140, Henderson.

    • Several businesspeople were honored at the Large Vision Business Network Mixer’s Entrepreneurs Expo. They include: Chris Reedel, Wet 2 Dry Las Vegas; Laurence Bronough, Winder Farms; Brenda Ward, S.E.L.F. Publishing; Dennin and Sharon Allen, Isagenix; and Barbara Henry, Allstate.
