    • City National Bank was recognized by the Justice League of Nevada and Supreme Court Justice Michael Douglas for providing legal aid to low-income communities.

    • The board of directors of the Epicurean Charitable Foundation and Avero named Claudia Soler and Vildan Buric the winners of the 2013 Avero New York City Restaurant Education Experience. The program sends two people to New York City for a four-day educational immersion program in the food and beverage industry.

    • Yes! Air Conditioning & Plumbing selected Sara Bartley as the winner of its “Help A Home” program, which provides a person or family with a new air conditioning and heating system. Bartley is a special needs teaching assistant at Peterson Elementary School.

    • Dr. Ty Hanks, his wife Jacki and the medical team at Urgent Care Extra collected more than $1,000 worth of school supplies for the Clark County School District.

    • The Associated General Contractors of Las Vegas selected Kallyse Duddlesten as the 2013 recipient of the Michael T. Martin Scholarship Award for leadership, integrity, creativity and dedication. She received $12,000 to pursue an engineering management degree at Lehigh (Pa.) University.
