Describe your business and the services you offer.

Pin-up photography featuring John Gladman as photographer and artist. We provide wardrobe and professional makeup and styling. Carol Ann helps with posing and expression coaching.

Each image is customized. This includes illustrated backgrounds, cars or bikes added to the scene.

John digitally touches up the images to transform the photos into an airbrushed, WWII Vargas-style hand-painted image.

Who are your customers?

Women from all walks of life averaging within the age range of 30-60. The oldest subject was 88.

Being a middle-aged woman myself, I know the obstacles women face, the insecurities, the competition we place on ourselves with other girls, the self-esteem and body issues that we seem to have with ourselves.

I spent the first 35-40 years of my life disliking myself and I don’t intend to spend the remaining years of my life continuing to do that.

We want to help other women see their own beauty and to feel it; to love themselves unconditionally.

What makes your business unique?

Our pin-up images are tasteful and classy and no longer look like a photo but rather an airbrushed, hand-painted image. We are all about the experience as well as the final fabulous image. We provide a unique, experience that starts with the girls getting dressed and having their makeup and hair styled in our one-of-a-kind mobile dressing room — the BombShasta!

John and I have renovated a 1961 Shasta 13’ camper into a mobile dressing room. We pull it inside our studio space through the garage door. It’s light pink and matches our 1960 Pink Cadillac, which actually pulls the camper.

Once the order is placed, John spends hours to create the hand-painted style. This is a unique process that John created himself without the use of filters or actions. It’s all done by hand.

Our paper is rated 100 years, so the prints can be passed down to grandchildren! Imagine owning a pin-up of your grandma.

What is your business philosophy?

“At Bombshell, we don’t ask for much. We just want to change the world. One Bombshell Girl™ at a time!”

This is our mission statement. We really mean this. It’s our intent to share John’s amazing photography with the world, and to change girl’s lives in the process. We are all about creating tasteful, classy pin-ups reminiscent of the ’40s and ’50s. Women of all ages can wear as much or little as they want, and we respect each girl’s wishes, although we do encourage them to go outside of their box just a bit. The human body is gorgeous, so why not show it off?

What’s the most important part of your job?

Our clients. Seriously. They are our best salespeople.

We are not OK with mediocrity. We strive for excellence, and both John and I continue to strive for improvement. We are never satisfied with status quo, always looking to create new ideas and new methods to add into the mix of what we already do.

Ultimately, the images we create are the most important aspect as they are the lasting piece of our business (after the memories eventually fade). So, to create these amazing images, we have the best! John Gladman is among the elite in the Professional Photographers of America, an international organization. He holds degrees of master of photography, photographic craftsman and master of electronic imaging.

What is the hardest part about doing business in Las Vegas?

Starting over. Moving and changing locations meant starting over more than I ever realized.

What is the best part about doing business in Las Vegas?

The sun shines constantly and it seldom rains, so anytime we want to shoot outside, we do not have to worry about rain or bad weather.

The cooperation and attitude of others; people are very helpful and friendly.
