Using a complicated 3D engine, the NASCAR slot lets players choose between five famed drivers: Clint Bowyer, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick and Jimmie Johnson.

Boyd’s NASCAR rollout includes the Orleans, Gold Coast, Suncoast, Sam’s Town, Fremont, California and Main Street Station casinos.

Boyd will be the first casino operator in Southern Nevada to premier the NASCAR slot machine, the company announced Wednesday.

“Our customers love NASCAR, so it makes perfect sense for Boyd Gaming to be one of the first casino companies in the country to offer this game,” said Chris Gibase, Boyd’s senior vice president of operations, in a statement.

Using a complicated 3D engine, the NASCAR slot lets players choose among five drivers: Clint Bowyer, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick and Jimmie Johnson.

The game uses video-game technology and surround sound to immerse players in the game.

If a player hits the “U-Race” bonus, the character is launched into the first of a three-lap race at Daytona.

A cluster of arrows then appears on the screen: left, right or straight ahead. Tap a direction and that’s which way the driver goes.

Since 1997, Boyd Gaming has sponsored the Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s annual Nationwide Series race.

“We see Bally’s NASCAR game as a perfect example of what our guests are looking for when they visit a Boyd Gaming property,” Gibase said. “It’s an engaging and memorable gaming experience.”
