why does it seem to be the popular notion that zappo's employees will be moving into downtown en masse? if it was reality that people want to live near where they work, our freeways wouldn't be so congested during rush hours. it is possible that all the zappo's employees have homes. if they are like most of the rest of us, they can't afford to sell in this market. and further, do they all live in green valley now, near where zappos is currently located? i doubt it. and i genuinely doubt if the relocation of zappo's business will affect very much of the housing market, either downtown or in green valley. people in the las vegas valley seem to choose homes without regard to proximity to their workplace.
I don't think a week goes by that Zappos isn't in the paper. I wonder if Greenspun Media has been bought out by Zappos and unbeknownst to everyone, is now their PR firm?

No, no, it couldn't be that simple...they must not have been culture fits, right?
