Northwestern Mutual will add 15 full-time financial representatives and 25 interns to its Las Vegas office. The local recruitment is part of a nationwide effort to add more than 5,500 employees to the company this year.
NEWave, a Las Vegas-based software supplier to the gaming industry, completed its first installation in Connecticut. Its compliance software is now in more than 250 casinos. Connecticut represented the fifth new state jurisdiction penetrated by NEWave in the past six months.
Trosper Communications, a public relations, advertising and design firm, launched a redesigned website at www.trospercommunications.com.
Burke Construction Group and Compendium International will design and build an administrative office and visitor center at the Corn Creek Desert National Wildlife Refuge for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The center will be about 25 miles north of Las Vegas off U.S. 95. Construction has begun and is expected to be completed in December. Funding for the $7.7 million project came from the Southern Nevada Public Lands Management Act.
Burke Construction Group also was awarded the contract for a new manufacturing facility at 198 N. Gibson Road, Henderson. The 3.5-acre facility will serve as corporate headquarters for VadaTech Corporation and will include more than 70,000 square feet of space for manufacturing equipment and research and development.
Blue Heron, a luxury homebuilder in Las Vegas, was selected by the National Association of Home Builders to design and build the “2013 New American Home.” Blue Heron is the only firm in the 30-year history of the program to be selected as an architect, interior designer and builder. The home, in the Marquis Seven Hills community in Henderson, was featured last month at the 2013 International Builder Show in Las Vegas.
The Center for Occupational Health and Wellness now offers local businesses preventive health programs through a partnership with EHE International, a preventive care company for executives and employees.
Village Square, the 240,000-square-foot shopping center at West Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road, has added three businesses to its roster: Chinita Mexican Bar and Grill; NV PC FIX, a computer repair shop; and NEPC, an investment consulting firm.
Penta Building Group announced the completion of the Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill at Caesars Palace. Penta served as general contractor on the $1.3 million project. The 7,613-square-foot restaurant is the celebrity chef’s second restaurant to open in Las Vegas.
Brooks and Associates has relocated to the Realty One Group, the largest real estate company in Las Vegas ranked by agents and volume. The new office is at 2831 St. Rose Parkway, Suite 100, Henderson.
