A group of Southern Nevada’s top medical professionals will be honored tonight at VEGAS INC’s 7th Annual Health Care Headliners event.
Awards are handed out in 11 categories that cover a wide range of roles in the health care industry. The categories include research/scientist, community outreach, manager/administrator, volunteer, physician, dentistry, emergency services, nursing, education, innovation and lifetime achievement.
This year’s honorees include doctors, surgeons, scientists, professors and volunteers. VEGAS INC received about 100 nominations.
Dr. Michael Crovetti Jr., founder of Crovetti Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine and a 2007 Health Care Headliners honoree, will emcee tonight’s awards ceremony, which will be held at Veil Pavilion at the Silverton.
Being recognized as Health Care Headliners are:
• Patti Berry, chief nursing officer at HealthCare Partners Nevada
• Dr. Oscar Goodman Jr., medical oncologist and scientist at the Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada
• Susan Hirsch, director of social services at the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health
• Erin Kinard, director of the community triage center and clinical director at WestCare Nevada
• Dr. Brian Lawenda, radiation oncologist and clinical director at 21st Century Oncology
• Lee Etta Lioliadis, volunteer at MountainView Hospital
• Dr. Joseph Nicola, founder of Complete Injury Management
• Dr. Glen Roberson, orthodontic clinic director and assistant professor at Roseman University of Health Sciences
• Dr. Harry Rosenberg, co-founder and president emeritus of Roseman University of Health Sciences
• Dr. David Silverberg, lead surgeon at Silver State Orthopedics
• Dr. Randall Yee, associate professor at Touro University and orthopedic surgeon at Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine
