What’s billed as the world’s largest slot machine will dispense people instead of cash in June when the Fremont Street Experience unveils SlotZilla, a towering launch pad for new permanent zip lines beneath Fremont’s LED canopy. Ground will be broken after the New Year’s holiday on the 120-foot tower that will double capacity on the existing temporary zip-line attraction that will feature a first-of-its-kind “power launch” system to shoot riders at accelerated speeds. Uh, pardon me for asking, but if the present "Zip line" first went into operation in October of 2010, how can the picture accompanying the article have been taken on September 26, 2102? DUH! Transposition?

Time travel has always been part of the Fremont Street Experience, Jerry, where have you been?
The current zip line ride is an eyesore of jersey concrete barriers, construction scaffolding and steel tension wires. Something more permanent and eye pleasing would be a welcome addition.
It says Sept. 26 2012 that means in operation about 2 years. They need all the attractions they can make to bring revenue downtown.
I wish them luck as they will need it. Flightlinez seems to be getting the big hose!
Screwed the little guy again? The company that proved it would work gets kicked to the curb because the big agency wants to make ALL the money. Disgraceful.
