      Jeff Larsen has been hired as an assistant account executive at Trosper Communications. Larsen will help clients with public relations and advertising strategies. He previously worked at MassMedia Corporate Communications.

    • AAA recently awarded the Bellagio with a Five Diamond Award for the 12th consecutive year. In 2001, the Bellagio was the first resort in Las Vegas to achieve the milestone. Restaurants Picasso and Le Cirque also received diamond designations. Julian Serrano’s Picasso earned its 12th AAA Five Diamond Award, while Le Cirque, from the Maccioni family, earned the award for the 10th consecutive year. Bellagio is the only U.S. hotel with two AAA Five Diamond restaurants.

      Bill Fowler has been named senior vice president of the grants program at the Daniels Fund. He previously served as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of investment banking firm RBC Daniels.

    • Richard L. Baldwin has joined Union Gaming Analytics, a subsidiary of Union Gaming Group, as managing director. Baldwin has more than 17 years of finance management experience in the gaming industry and will head the company’s analytics business. Baldwin previously has served as chief financial officer at Tropicana Entertainment, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Shuffle Master Gaming and director of corporate finance and investor relations at International Game Technology.

      Tivona Betz

      Tivona Betz was named vice president of operations for iAd Media. She will oversee all corporate operations, marketing strategies and partnerships for the company’s product Bixby. She has extensive experience in public relations and digital media communications.

    • Jeff Riesenmy and Adam Hosmer-Henner have joined the law offices of McDonald Carano Wilson. Riesenmy, who earned his degree this year from the Emory University School of Law, will work in the Las Vegas office. Hosmer-Henner, a 2008 graduate of Harvard Law School, will work in the Reno office.

      Dean Willmore

      Dean Willmore has been hired as a senior vice president in the industrial division of Colliers International Las Vegas. Willmore will specialize in the lease and sale negotiations of industrial properties, investments and land. He is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, previously serving as president of the Nevada chapter and regional director of the Western Region. He also is a member of NAIOP Southern Nevada.

      Cheryl Smith

      Realtor Cheryl Smith joined United Realty as a corporate broker in the company’s new Summerlin brokerage office. Smith will be responsible for supervising residential and commercial sales and business brokerage services. Previously, she was the corporate broker for the Realty One Group.

    • Firehouse Subs has opened its first location in Henderson. It is located at 501 Marks St. and is open 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The location is the second Firehouse Subs restaurant for franchisee Bob Rather.

    • De Castroverde Law Group, a local personal injury, criminal defense and immigration law firm, is expanding its downtown office at 1149 S. Maryland Parkway, where it has been located since 2006. Founded in 2005 by brothers Alex and Orlando De Castroverde, the law firm employs 24 people, including six attorneys. Construction of the office space is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
