    • Steve Goebel

      Steve Goebel

      Steve Goebel, vice president of creative services at Trosper Communications, has been appointed to the Advanced Technologies Academy (A-Tech) Advisory Board. He will work closely with A-Tech’s design programs, including computer graphic design and architectural design.

    • Dan M. Heffley has received the National Legislative Achievement Award, one of the highest honors for legislative advocacy, from the National Association of Health Underwriters in Washington, D.C.

    • Terri Janison is the senior director of health and community development at United Way of Southern Nevada. She previously worked in community relations and economic development for Gov. Brian Sandoval and held an elected position on the Clark County School Board.

    • Gary A. Vecchiarelli is chief financial officer, corporate secretary and treasurer of Galaxy Gaming, Inc. He previously served as a controller for Spectrum Pharmaceuticals and held positions with two national accounting firms. The company’s chief executive officer, Robert Saucier, had served as interim chief financial officer since February.

      Andrew D. Sedlock joined Gordon Silver Attorneys and Counselors at Law. He is an associate in the firm’s intellectual property department. Sedlock has practiced law since May 2003 and has experience in intellectual property and commercial litigation. He recently represented commercial lenders and property owners.

    • Francis Flaherty is president of the State Bar of Nevada, which elected 2012-13 officers during its board of governors meeting June 30th. Flaherty is an attorney with Dyer Lawrence Law Firm in Carson City. Other new officers include President-elect Alan J. Lefebvre, of Kolesar & Leatham, Las Vegas; Vice President Elana T. Graham, of Senior Citizens Law Project, Las Vegas; and Immediate Past President Constance L. Akridge, of Holland & Hart, LLP, Las Vegas.

    • Terri Lee joined EXIT Realty Unlimited in Henderson. She has three years of real estate sales experience.

    • Plaza Bank has been recognized for its small business lending by MultiFunding. The selection was made using Banking Grades, a proprietary online tool that grades banks on their commitment to small business lending.

    • 21st Century Oncology has acquired Cancer Consultants of Las Vegas, a medical oncology and hematology practice.

    • Kraft-Sussman Funeral Services of Las Vegas recently earned membership in Selected Independent Funeral Homes, an international association of independently owned and operated funeral homes. Wendy Kraft and Laura Sussman started the business in 2009.
