It's official: Gordon Ramsay, the quick-tempered and sharp-tongued star of “Hell’s Kitchen” and other TV food programs, is bringing his brand to Las Vegas.
Ramsay will open his first Las Vegas restaurant, Gordon Ramsay Steak, this spring at Paris, the resort announced Friday. The announcement came several months after it was revealed that Ramsay, whose eatery will replace Les Artistes Steakhouse, was negotiating with Paris.
“Few chefs in the world have extended their reputations to as many countries and into as many homes as Chef Ramsay,” Paris Las Vegas President David Hoenemeyer said in a release. “His fiery passion for excellence has been validated by the culinary world’s top epicurean honors, by his legions of delighted restaurant guests and by millions of TV fans. We at Paris Las Vegas believe that the addition of Gordon Ramsay Steak, will be an exciting new milestone in the city’s impressive culinary evolution.”
"Vegas has become a foodie haunt," Ramsay told USA Today. "They're coming for the restaurants."
Paris said San Francisco based EDG Interior Architecture + Design, which previously created designs for Rao’s and Bradley Ogden restaurants at Caesars Palace, would head the design process.

Now, wait a minute, isn't this the same Gordon Ramsay whose restaurants have recently been downgraded and even failed?
Mr. Realist.
Locals with enough money will be able to afford it. Many are still doing just fine in this town. You won't find "Outback" prices there.
Mr. Finch.
Do you have anything to back up what you are asking or you just putting it out there to cause doubt?
This is great. I love that show Kitchen Nightmares. Can't wait to try the food. But if the food is bad, I would love to tell him "this food is horrendous. It is the worst food I've ever had. I'm surprised anyone comes here. You should be totally ashamed of yourself." LOL

I'd post more but really it's not my job to educate people who get huffy when they don't like something they read.
The bottom line is Ramsay has had to close a number of his restarurants in the past few years because of lack of business and, frankly, the critics and the public haven't been impressed.
Oh and the cardinal rule of actually having money is: expensive doesn't always mean good.
I've enjoyed many of his restaurants and know he'll have great success in this town. I hope Ramsey's opinion of Vegas being a foodie haunt continues to draw other famous chef's. As far as great restaurants there are more within walking distance of each other than any other city I know of in the world.
This is fabulous news! Chef Ramsey has developed "his brand" very well and brings with him a mystique that will most certainly draw dedicated "Foodies" from all over the globe to Las Vegas. Viva Chef Ramsey! May you enjoy great success here. We anxiously await !
Blessings and Peace,
Star
