Las Vegas printer lands more work with publisher of Christian Science Monitor

Allan G. Creel is president of Creel Printing, which has landed significant new work with The Christian Science Publishing Society, publisher of the Christian Science Monitor.

Creel Printing of Las Vegas said Tuesday it has landed significant new work with The Christian Science Publishing Society (CSPS), publisher of the Christian Science Monitor.

Creel said that in addition to continuing to print the Monitor, which is based in Boston and has a guaranteed weekly circulation of 63,000, it will be the exclusive publishing partner for the society and pick up new work producing and distributing several publications.

They include The Herald of Christian Science (monthly and bimonthly in 14 languages), The Christian Science Journal (monthly), Christian Science Sentinel (weekly) and the Christian Science Quarterly.

Creel said that under the new two-year pact, it will handle production, versioning and distribution of the society’s print and digital “flip-book” editions.

“We are proud to be part of the CSPS’s outstanding publishing heritage,” said Allan G. Creel, president of Creel Printing.

While this is not 59-year-old Creel Printing’s largest contract, it’s significant and it will help support the 350 employees at Creel’s Las Vegas plant, Creel said.

Creel Printing said it won the bid for the pre-press, publishing and distribution work thanks to its prior success over the past two years “fulfilling the complex production requirements of The Christian Science Monitor,” a respected international news magazine.

Creel said clients benefit from its “proprietary versioning, interactive advertiser tools, subscriber solutions” and its close relationship with the U.S. Postal Service.
