    • Michael Cristalli

      Michael V. Cristalli joined and was named partner at Gordon Silver Attorneys and Counselors at Law. Cristalli specializes in government investigations and business crimes. Gordon Silver is the first law firm to have a government investigations and business crimes department in Nevada.

    • United Way of Southern Nevada’s Immediate Needs Council approved the allocation of $1 million to 12 local agencies providing rent and nutritional assistance. The funding distribution is a part of the nonprofit’s mission to ensure that families in need receive support so they can work toward becoming financially independent.

    • Daniel Cereghino

      Daniel Cereghino is an associate attorney at the law firm of Kolesar & Leatham, focusing primarily in general commercial litigation.

    • Nevada State Bank is donating $1 to the American Heart Association for every person who “checks in” to a Nevada State Bank branch via foursquare from through Feb. 29. The bank will also donate $1 for every new Facebook “like” it receives during February. The fundraising campaign supports the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” campaign, which raises awareness of women’s risk of heart disease.

    • John Bailey

      John R. Bailey was selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America 2012 in the field of health care law. The managing partner of the law firm Bailey Kennedy, he has been practicing law in Nevada for nearly 30 years. His partner, Dennis L. Kennedy, was also selected among the Best Lawyers in America for 2012, in bet-the-company litigation, commercial litigation and health care law.

    • Jeffrey Boughrum

      Jeffrey A. Boughrum is director of the Intermountain Hospitality Group of Commerce Real Estate Solutions, an independent member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance. Boughrum was chief development officer of Showboat Inc., and is a 36-year veteran in commercial real estate.

    • Benchmark Association Services, an Associa company, was awarded the Community Associations Institute Nevada Chapter’s Outstanding Large Management Company of the Year award. The award is presented annually by CAI Nevada to the company that manages at least 20,000 units within the state of Nevada.

    • William Joseph Communications was named the Canada Nevada Business Council’s Agency of Record. CNBC facilitates trade between, and helps foster opportunities for, businesses based in both Canada and Nevada. Nevada businesses export about $779 million in goods to Canada each year, while Canada exports approximately $786 million to Nevada.

    • The Andre Agassi Foundation for Education donated $50,000 to After-School All-Stars Las Vegas. The foundation has been a strong supporter of ASASLV since 1995, donating more than $1.2 million to organization over the years.

    • Flightlinez and the Fremont Street Experience donated all revenue generated from zipline rides from noon to midnight Jan. 25 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

    • Windsong Trust, a California-based charitable trust dedicated to youth educational opportunities, donated nearly $350,000 to After-School All-Stars Las Vegas. The funds will support after-school programs at Bridger Middle School, Orr Middle School, Rex Bell Elementary, Squires Elementary and CT Swell Elementary. The donation will also fund student participation in CampUs, an intensive middle to high school transition/dropout prevention and college awareness summer camp held on the campus of UNLV.

    • Community Associations Institute of Nevada, a trade organization representing homeowners associations, community managers and industry partners statewide, announced the award recipients from its annual gala and awards program. The annual program honors HOA board members, CAI-Nevada volunteers and management companies who exemplify high standards within the industry. The President’s Awards winners are: Wendy Whaley, CAI volunteer leader; Kimberly Piscione, business partner, US Bank; Mary Rendina, CAI executive director; and Chris Snow, CAI executive assistant.

    • Bank of Nevada has been awarded the Western region Small Business Banking Excellence Award for overall satisfaction from Greenwich Associates, a strategy management and consulting group. Banks receiving the award have been recognized by clients for quality products, services and coverage. Greenwich Associates surveyed nearly 13,500 businesses with sales of $1 million to $10 million in markets across the U.S., measuring banking products and services.

    • Robyn Yates, owner/broker of Windermere Prestige Properties, announced the merger of Lake Las Vegas Village Realty. The newly renovated Windermere office is in the center of the Village of Lake Las Vegas and it is the company’s third Southern Nevada location.

    • Scott Cook

      Scott Cook joined Kolesar & Leatham, one of Nevada’s largest independent law firms, as a shareholder focusing on civil litigation. Cook specializes in complex civil litigation, catastrophic injury and representation of medical professionals and institutions.

    • Attorneys Bradley J. Richardson and Kristin M. Tyler of Gordon Silver Attorneys and Counselors at Law will conduct an estate planning seminar from 6-7 p.m. Thursday in the law offices at 3960 Howard Hughes Parkway.     • Kyle Nagy

      Kyle Nagy is 2012-13 president of NAIOP Southern Nevada, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. He is founder and director of CommCap Advisors.     • City National Bank won seven excellence awards for business banking and treasury management from Greenwich Associates. City National’s business banking was recognized for several awards including: overall satisfaction, financial stability and international service. The bank also received awards for treasury management overall satisfaction and customer service.
