Dillard’s signs on for store at Shops at Summerlin

Developers of the Shops at Summerlin have signed their second anchor store, giving another boost to the long-delayed project. Howard Hughes Corp. said Monday that Dillard’s will operate a two-level, 200,000-square-foot department store scheduled to open in fall 2014. Dillard’s was supposed to have a store there before construction stopped four years ago under then-owner General Growth Properties. Dillard’s has about 300 stores nationwide, including three in Las Vegas Valley shopping malls — Fashion Show, Meadows Mall and Galleria at Sunset. Maybe, just maybe building this will help bring home prices back up in the area as well.
The only downside is the thought of "open air" anything mid-summer and mid-winter!

Yeah I just love the idea of walking from store to store when it is 115 outside.
I definitely would not go there during the summer months.
From looking at the construction site, I have yet to see any construction crew there...it's still an empty shell with no workers....Last I saw, you needed workers in order to finish building....
It would be nice to see this come into fruition. Tired of seeing the steel skeletons everytime I visit Red Rock Resort and Summerlin need this one, place is rather boring. Red Rock Resort is the only reason I drive to this part of town. Tivoli Village and Boca Park plus this development, glad to have it near my residence and my family's residence.

Upscale and classy are NOT the best adjectives to classify Clark County residents including the ones in Summerlin. Worst, the people with money in Clark County have the worst taste and style. Just look at their casinos, ORIGINALITY AND STYLE are not the terms to best describe these resorts. Hahaha!
