The party pit casino floor concept in Las Vegas has expanded to the Palms, which today said it has created the Playboy Party Pit.
It's described as "an energetic, devoted space on the casino floor featuring Playboy bunny dealers, giving blackjack players an amped up gaming experience.''
The Palms is already known for its Playboy Club, among other nightclubs and restaurants there. The new Playboy Party Pit has six blackjack tables and is next to the walkway between the Pearl Concert Theater and The Lounge at the Palms.
Unlike some of the party pits in town, at the Palms Playboy pit there are no go-go dancers who elsewhere are seen as entertaining or distracting card players -- or both.
"We are excited to create a new, lively gaming area for our customers," Palms President Joseph Magliarditi said in a statement. "We have crafted a way to expand the excitement and atmosphere of the Playboy Club to the casino. The Playboy Party Pit is just one of the many changes we have planned for redesigning our gaming floor."

Beware of 6 to 5 blackjack and continuous shuffle machines. These party pits are nothing more than a ploy to lure people into playing games with poor playing conditions and increase the casino's edge. They are all the same. Eyecandy = bad conditions for the player.
Who cares? Why does the Sun insist of giving the magoof's or their lender overlords free publicity?
vpplayer14... what do you care? You got something' against the Palms (Maloof's) or Party Pits or just expect the Sun to clear their stories with you prior to printing. In this crappy economy, I'm glad the Sun promotes our businesses a little bit with such an announcement. They do it all the time...
BTW... the Sun didn't hide the George's DUI story, so I have no reason to believe they're reporting anything other than what they believe to be "news", as they should.
smartone618... The editor made sure there was plenty of positive press for George Magoof prior to the Palms being taken by the lenders. The Greenspun family had a 2% stake in the Palms prior to the lenders taking control of the property, I'm not aware of any position they may hold with the new team. Their relationship with the property should be noted. Most joints have party pits but I don't recall reading about them in this space.
