Harry Reid announces speakers for annual Clean Energy Summit

Sen. Harry Reid has recruited some big names to talk green energy during his fourth annual Clean Energy Summit next month in Las Vegas.
This year’s roster of speakers includes Gov. Brian Sandoval, Secretary of Energy Steven Chu, Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, California Gov. Jerry Brown, Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire, Center for American Progress President and CEO John Podesta and MGM Resorts International CEO Jim Murren.
The summit will be held Aug. 30 at Aria at CityCenter.
The Clean Energy Summit is co-sponsored Reid, UNLV, MGM Resorts, the Clean Energy Project and the Center for American Progress. The day-long conference brings together politicians, executives and entrepreneurs to discuss clean energy policies.
Last year’s event drew 750 attendees and speakers including T. Boone Pickens, NV Energy CEO Michael Yackira and UNLV President Neal Smatresk.
