The International Council of Shopping Centers has signed with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to extend its annual trade show through 2017.
The ICSC, which has been in Las Vegas for three decades, already had a deal in place to keep the show through 2012. Its RECon show, held in May, attracts more than 30,000 visitors and brings retailers and developers from around the world.
The LVCVA said the show contributes more than $31 million in nongaming economic impact each year.
The conference focuses on issues and trends in the shopping center industry. It also provides opportunity to network, conduct deals and provides educational seminars for professionals.
“RECon is a the premier industry gathering in commercial real estate. We’re confident they will continue to have success here in Las Vegas,” said Chris Meyer, vice president of sales for the LVCVA.
