As if the Cosmopolitan’s suites with private terraces overlooking the Strip weren’t exclusive enough, the resort has unveiled a whole other set of pricey rooms.

The Cosmopolitan has opened its Lanai suites for public reservations. The suites have typically been reserved for high rollers and VIP guests until they were released on the website Tuesday.

The two-story, 800-square-foot suites are on the 14th floor of the West Tower and have direct access to one of the resort’s pools and spa from the terrace.

The Lanai suites feature private everything — private elevators, private Jacuzzis and private 550-square-foot terraces. They also feature the amenities of Cosmopolitan’s other suites, including kitchens, dining areas and living rooms, but are designed in a red and brown color scheme, a departure from the blues and whites of most rooms as the resort.

Rates for the Lanai suites start at $750 per night but are as high as $1,500 a night during some weekends in May.
