      Diane F. Fearon has joined First Security Bank of Nevada as executive vice president/senior banking officer. Fearon is a 25-year veteran of the banking industry in Las Vegas. Fearon will help with the bank’s focus on small businesses.

    • Tomokazu Taniuchi, of Dominion Environmental Consultants Inc., has earned his Certified Hazardous Material Manager credential.

      The Firm Public Relations and Marketing promoted Elise Timothy to account manager and Andrea Mestdagh to senior public relations specialist.

    • The Project Management Institute’s Southern Nevada Chapter announced several award winners: Project Manager of the Year — Adam Godorov, of Nevada Energy; Project of the Year — McCarran International Airport Terminal 3; and PMI Las Vegas Member of the Year — Swadha Rath.

      Connie Gamble

      Connie Gamble, a commercial real estate broker and board member of the Commercial Alliance Las Vegas, was honored by the National Association of Realtors for her contributions to the profession. Gamble was one of 41 commercial real estate professionals from across the nation — and the only one from Nevada — to receive a National Commercial Award. Gamble, a broker for Vista Realty, also was named CALV’s 2012 Member of the Year.

      The Southern Nevada Home Builders Association recently installed its 2013 officers and directors. Lee “Rocky” Cochran, of Pardee Homes, is president of the 270-member trade group; Robert V. McGibney of KB Home is first vice president; and James Gomez of Richmond American Homes is second vice president.

    • Joseph Elevado was named executive chef of Andrea’s, a new restaurant at Encore Wynn Las Vegas.

      Kevin Vanegas was appointed Master of Tequila at Wirtz Beverage Nevada. Vanegas joins the company after working for Don Julio, Jose Cuervo and most recently, Diageo.

    • Jody Walker Belsick was selected the 2012 UNLV College of Engineering Alumna of the Year. Belsick is a two-time UNLV graduate with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in business administration. She is president of Walker Engineering, a local civil engineering consulting firm.

    • Blane Johnson was named the 2012 Nevada Realtor of the Year by the Nevada Association of Realtors. Johnson, owner of Incline at Tahoe Realty, served as NVAR’s 2012 president after serving as president-elect in 2011. Others honored include: Sharon Exarhos of Las Vegas — Nevada Distinguished Realtor Award for consistent service to NVAR and the real estate profession; Charles Kitchen of Carson City and Keith Kelley of Las Vegas — Realtor Active in Politics Award for government affairs advocacy; Brad Spires of Gardnerville — Joe Nolan Award recognizing spirit, passion and professionalism; Marcella Syme of Elko — Realtor Achievement Award for outstanding service to local and state associations; and Cheryl Delehanty of Incline Village — Leadership NVAR Outstanding Graduate award.

    • Kenny Deen was hired as a Las Vegas account executive at 360 Mortgage, a privately owned mortgage bank. He brings more than 20 years of industry experience to his new role.
