Las Vegas Sands and MGM Resorts International were named among the world’s most environmentally friendly companies by Newsweek. Las Vegas Sands placed No. 18 and MGM placed No. 82 on the U.S. 500 list. Sands also ranked No. 28 on the Global 500 list. Las Vegas Sands was the highest-ranked consumer services company in the country and the second highest in the world.

Hot Trendz, a fashion and accessories store, opened at Buffalo Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard.

Tatyana Designs, which makes and sells vintage clothing, will produce “Tempest Storm” dresses and gowns. The company also plans to open a boutique in Toronto in July.

Apex Health Care Professionals and Divine Threading and Lash Studio opened in Village Square, 9400 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas.

U-Haul Moving and Storage opened two self-storage buildings, an office and apartment at 3083 W. Lake Mead Blvd., Las Vegas.

Cheffini’s, a specialty hot dog cart, opened its first non-mobile location at Downtown Container Park.

Nevada Corporate Planners moved to 10785 W. Twain Ave., Suite 102, Las Vegas.

Children’s Specialty Center of Nevada, a nonprofit pediatric treatment center, received laboratory accreditation from the Commission of Office Laboratory Accreditation.

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop plans to open up to 45 restaurants in the Houston area over the next seven years.
