Eastside Cannery gets new general manager

The Eastside Cannery on Boulder Highway.

The Eastside Cannery, a locals-oriented casino in the southeast valley, announced a new general manager today.

Cannery Casino Resorts, which owns the property on Boulder Highway, said in a statement that Humberto Trueba Jr. is the new vice president and general manager of the Eastside Cannery. He replaces Aaron Rosenthal, who left to work at the Argosy Casino near Kansas City.

Trueba used to be the general manager and chief operating officer of Club Fortune Casino in Henderson.

At Club Fortune, Trueba “was able to create an effective personal feedback and face-to-face customer service culture that increased loyalty and cultivated a strong senior base business,” Cannery said in its statement.

Trueba was also the senior vice president of human resources at Pinnacle Entertainment for seven years.

In addition to the Eastside Cannery, Cannery Casino Resorts also owns and operates the Cannery casino in North Las Vegas and the Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Pennsylvania.
