Treasure Island partnership OK’d for online poker

The Nevada Gaming Commission conducted its monthly meeting today in Las Vegas.

The issue: Licensing of 888 Holdings PLC and Treasure Island

The vote: 5-0

What it means: Acting on recommendations from the state Gaming Control Board, the commission approved a series of licenses for 888 Holdings, which will partner with Treasure Island to offer online poker.

The 888 Holdings and Treasure Island licenses become the 20th and 21st interactive gaming licenses approved by the commission. 888 Holdings already partners in Nevada with Caesars Entertainment and plans to develop a World Series of Poker-branded poker site.
