The first cross-property progressive jackpot for a table game has arrived in Nevada.
“Cross-property connectivity was the next logical step for Shuffle Master in enhancing and broadening our progressive product offerings,” John Hemberger, Shuffle Master’s table games division general manager, said in a statement. “Players witness the meters incrementing in real time at a faster clip to drive bigger progressive jackpots than a standalone or intraproperty progressive.”
A player needs a seven-card straight flush to win the progressive jackpot. If someone hits it, every player at the table who made a progressive wager during that round wins an “Envy Bonus.”
For now, the linked jackpots are limited to Red Rock and Sunset Station. Station Casinos spokeswoman Lori Nelson said the company is testing the product and could expand it to other properties if players like the concept. The linked jackpot was more than $194,000 as of Wednesday.
The Station group and other casino chains often link bingo, poker and keno jackpots between properties, but a main-floor table game has never been connected across properties.
