A biotechnology company specializing in the manufacture of products to grow pharmaceutical-grade marijuana today announced its relocation to Las Vegas.

GrowBLOX Sciences Inc. said in a news release it moved its headquarters from Orlando, Fla., “to build upon the momentum of the company's licensing applications” in Clark County.

GrowBLOX Sciences said it was seeking three medical marijuana licenses here: one to grow marijuana and two to operate dispensaries.

"Working with the local municipalities in Clark County is a driving force in moving this processes forward, and we are thrilled to be a part of it and set the standard for innovation and cultivation," said Steven Weldon, the company’s chief financial officer.

GrowBLOX Sciences Inc. said it had developed proprietary indoor growing chambers for medical cannabis cultivation. The chambers, the company said, allow for completely controlled growing conditions, ensuring the manufacture of a consistent, toxin-free, natural and medicinal-grade product.

Additionally the company said it was developing and licensing specialized strains of medical-grade marijuana and cannabis oils for the medical consumer market.

GrowBLOX Sciences began trading on April 28 under the ticker symbol “GBLX” on the OTC Markets. The company previously was known as Signature Exploration and Production Corp.
