The sun has set on a Henderson breakfast favorite, and casinos are shaking up their restaurant lineups.

A popular Strip eatery recently closed for renovations, another premiered new decor and a third opened at the Venetian.

Meanwhile, skiers and snowboarders can look forward to a new high-altitude haven.

    • Bread & Butter

Bread & Butter, the Henderson breakfast-brunch spot, closed Jan. 11.

The restaurant, which featured fresh baked goods and a large selection of root beer, was at 10940 S. Eastern Ave. Former owner Chris Herrin sold the location last year and announced the closure on the restaurant's Facebook page.

The new owners haven't said why they shuttered the place.

    • Denny’s Casino Royale

Denny’s Casino Royale is saying goodbye to its Victorian theme. The Strip dining spot, at 3397 S. Las Vegas Boulevard, closed for major renovations earlier this month.

The overhaul will allow for a more modern exterior and expanded seating, Denny’s officials said. Plans issued by Casino Royale indicate the makeover also will create room for a pharmacy and a second-story patio, for a total expansion of more than 22,000 square feet.

The location is Denny’s highest-volume company-owned restaurant. It is expected to reopen in 2015.

      B&B Burger and Beer

B&B Burger and Beer opened early last month at the Venetian.

Backed by celebrity chef Mario Batali, the casual restaurant touts itself as “the ultimate burger lover’s destination on the Strip” and features a beer list with several local brews. It includes dining room seating for 120 and patio seating for 100.

The restaurant was scheduled to open last year but encountered delays. It is open from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily.

    • N9NE Steakhouse

      N9NE Steakhouse

After closing for renovations in November, N9NE Steakhouse reopened late last month.

The dining spot features new, private dining areas, dark draperies and added menu items. The updates are part of a $50 million renovation of the Palms.

N9NE is open 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
