Looking for a good place to eat? Apparently, North Las Vegas isn’t it

Chuck Frommer goes to work on some Road Kill Grill chicken, one of the best bites at the northwest barbecue shack.

The culinary excellence of North Las Vegas is wrapped up in a joint called the Road Kill Grill.

So perhaps it’s no surprise Movoto’s real estate bloggers named the city one of the worst in America for food lovers.

The city ranked third on a list of 10, beaten by the alleged poor food quality of San Bernardino, Calif., home of the first-ever McDonald’s restaurant, and Garland, Texas, known for its chicken-fried steak.

Movoto cooked up the list by collecting data from the 100 most populous cities in the U.S. based on the number of restaurants, bakeries, food trucks, ice cream shops, candy shops, food and wine festivals, caterers and gourmet grocery stores per capita.

Bloggers then ranked each city on a scale of 1 to 100 in each category, averaged the score and ranked the cities accordingly.

North Las Vegas ranked the worst in the restaurant category, with one restaurant for every 808 residents. St. Petersburg, Fla. pulled a close second with one restaurant for every 806 residents.

The state of Texas notched half the spots on the list.

Here’s a look at the full rankings of worst cities in America for food lovers:
