These new eateries, stores are opening at Town Square

Jim and Sharon Vargo of Lake Delton, Wis., cross a bridge at Town Square on March 20, 2009.

On the heels of some store closings, Town Square has snagged several new retail tenants.

GameWorks, a 225-seat restaurant with 125 video games, plans to open at the Las Vegas Boulevard mall in November, after the expected opening this summer of McFadden’s Restaurant & Saloon and the fast-food eatery Panda Express.

Children’s shoe store pediped footwear plans to open on Friday, while the clothing and home-furnishings store Artifact opened on Wednesday.

In recent months, the 93-acre mixed-use center also got as tenants Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop and Bonefish Grill.

But like any other retail hub, Town Square, located south of the Strip, has had turnover.

Clothing stores J.Crew and Michael Stars both closed this year. Additionally, McFadden’s will be in the space previously occupied by Ranch House Kitchen, which, after being open for less than a year, closed in February for rebranding and remodeling.

Town Square spokeswoman Stacy D’Alessandro declined to disclose the center’s retail occupancy rate.
