Seattle man plays music director for a day for Bellagio fountains
Social gamer turns slot points into a special birthday gift for his wife
A Seattle man has parlayed a hobby of playing social games on Facebook into an unforgettable birthday present for his wife.
Wiebusch, the first to win MyVegas’ top reward, chose his wife’s 60th birthday as the occasion to cash in.
Traveling to Las Vegas to celebrate, Wiebusch and his wife, Sue, were joined by two friends. They sipped Champagne while sitting in private seats on Prime Steakhouse’s lakeside patio at the Bellagio and listening Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” and the Beatles’ “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” play in synchronization with the fountains.
“The best way to celebrate a special birthday is with a special moment, and this … could not have been more perfect,” Wiebusch said.
The MyVegas game is free and part of MGM Resorts International’s premier rewards program, M life, which offers special M life Moments, including onstage drum lessons from the Blue Man Group.
Other MyVegas perks include hotel rooms, meals and show tickets from the Bellagio, Aria, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay and the Mirage.
