South Dakota Gobbles Up Deposits as Nation Banks More Cash, Nevada's cut in half

South Dakota may not be stuffed with electoral votes, but it’s bulging with cash.

The state, with just one-quarter of a percent of the U.S. population, holds 3.5% of all bank deposits this year, up from just 1% a year ago, according to the FDIC.
